The Longhorns will open the 2010 Season on September 4th against Rice.
Kickoff the weekend and the season with fellow alumni at aloft (5415 Westhiemer)
on Friday, September 3rd, 5pm-10pm.

Department of African and African Diaspora Studies
The University of Texas at Austin has created a new academic department devoted to studying the experiences of African Americans, indigenous Africans and people of African descent around the world and an affiliated institute that will focus on urban policy.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Beginning in the Fall 2007, BEST awarded scholarships for Continuing Students in addition to our scholarships for Incoming Freshman. This marked a great milestone as we strive to support the future Texas Graduates.
Alumni and Friends - You can continue to help the scholarship program grow by making a tax deductible donation to the scholarship fund or by joining the Scholarship Committee.

BEST is a national organization comprised of former African American students of The University of Texas at Austin. Since our inception in 1998, it has been our mission to promote higher education and to engage in activities that support The University of Texas at Austin's and the Ex-Students Association's activities and programs with specific emphasis on the African-American/Black Community.
